The ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS is a 'legacy motherboard' aimed at the low-end market, where its low price is the main competative element.

The ASUS M2N68-AM PLUS has the NVIDIA nForce 630a chipset and the onboard Geforce 7025 GPU which supports DirectX9 Shader Model 3.0 (max res: 1920 x1440) and has a maximum of 256MB shared memory.

There is a maximum of 8 Gigs DDR2 1066/800/667 memory. AMD AM2+ CPUs cannot handle 1066MHZ memory or higher in dual channel mode, in order to get this speed you will either have to take out the second dimm or accept that both dimms will run at 800MHZ. This board also supports Phenom II processors but in the CPU support list we couldn't find any processor with a TDP higher than 95w, this means that models like the AMD Phenom II X4 965 (Thermal Design Power 125w or higher) are not supported !!

There is one IDE slot and 4 sata 2.0 connectors which support RAID 0,1,5,10 and JBOD.
