Conclusion: P7P55D-E Pro is an enthusiast board with a good feature set, it's stable and the overclocking performance is OK. USB3 and SATA3 are the interfaces you'll need in the years to come. Overclocking: A i5-750 was stable up to 3.5GHz (175MHz BCLK), the board became unstable above 180MHz. The reviewers had some RAM issues and even the The MemOk! button was no help for them during the overclocking tests. They wouldn't recommend this board as an overclockers dream board, but if you just want an extra 300-500MHz, this board will be OK. Conclusion: This mobo didn't disappoint, overclocking features were great, performance is on par with other Intel P55 boards, it supports dual videocards in NVIDIA SLI or ATI Crossfire, in other words an ideal board for a mainstream Core i5 or Core i7 system. This motherboard was compared to the Intel DP55KG Kingsberg and its own overclocking results in the benchmarks. Conclusion: This mobo offers a good SATA3 performance right out of the box. USB 3.0 support was great and the MemOK! and EVO features need to be mentioned. The overall results were stable, reliable, and well tuned. This board was not compared to another motherboard, instead overclocked and stock values were compared. Conclusion: The PRO is about $100.- cheaper than the top in the P55 segment, the PREMIUM, it lacks some onboard switches, two extra USB2 ports, a second LAN port and the SouthBridge cooler is not as nice, the reviewer thinks that these extras are negligible. The board performed well , had no issues and was very stable. The BIOS was layout was very good and had a lot of OC options that makes this mobo an excellent overclocker. the reviewer gave it a 10 out of 10 score. A while ago techgage tested the ASUS P7P55D Pro, the additional 'E' for the ASUS P7P55D-E Pro means that this mobo has USB3 and SATA3 connectors. The P7P55D-E PRO was compared to the ASUS P7P55D Pro, ASUS P7P55D-E Pro, Gigabyte P55-UD5, Gigabyte P55A-UD4P, Intel DP55WG. Conclusion: The P7P55D-E PRO is a great performer and has many features. In some cases, it performed better than the other boards except for SYSmark VideoCreation. The PLX chip takes care that your primary graphics card will still run at 16x instead of 8x when using USB3.0 or SATA 3.0. The board is also designed to use one PCI-e slot for a dedicated PhysX card. Overclocking: A core i7 870 was OCed @ 4.33GHz with a vCore of 1.45v and 24X180.6(BCLK) and the QPI link was 3250MHz. The TurboV EVO overclocking utility wasn't included in the software bundle(It can still be downloaded from the ASUS site though), instead you will find Intel's Extreme Tuning. The the 'CPU Level Up' option in the AI Tweaker (BIOS) menu is found at the top, for overclockers that like to be on the 'safe-side'.
