Professional Reviews

  • bit-tech.net

This mainboard was compared to the Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H, GA-P55M-UD2, Asus P7P55M, ASRock P55M Pro and finally the Biostar TP55

Conclusion: The H57 overclocks well but bit-tech has seen better results. Allthough this is a board with a perfect technology and extras like USB3 and SATA3, for those who just want performance for a lower price it's better to choose a P55 or H55 board.

Overclocking: A Core i5-750 CPU was OCed @4.13GHz (20x207) vCore was set to 1.384V. With a Core i5-661 processor they even reached 4.44GHz this time with a 185MHz base clock and 24x multiplier.

Benchmarks: Gimp, Handbrake h.264, Multi Tasking, Sisoft Sandra, Everest, Crysis, Stalker.

  • tweaktown

This mainboard was compared the Gigabyte GA-H57M-USB3 and the ASRock H55M Pro. Tweaktown also had a look at the EPU-6 engine, the AI-Tweaker and UnCore Configurations in the BIOS for over/underclocking the IGP on the Clarkdale.

Conclusion: P7H57D-V EVO is a great performer with excellent overclocking features. Hybrid Phase design takes care of stable and clean power and you'll have SLI and CrossfireX, tweaktown has a problem with the high price though.

Overclocking: Using Turbo EVO software they reached 4255MHz with a core i5 661 (185X23), this was done using the automatic overclocking. Manually they even reached 4428 MHz (24x multipier instead of 23x) the vcore to 1.4V. The Cooler they used was a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 with two fans.

Bechmarks: Sandra, HyperPi, PC and 3D mark Vantage, Cinebench, Lightwave 64 bit, AutoGK, Sims 3, Far Cry 2.

  • hexus.net

This board was compared with an Intel DH55TC (H55 chipset), there wasn't much difference in the benchmark results between the two boards. This review takes you by the hand during a walk through the BIOS screens.

Conclusion: Using the ASUS P7H57D-V EVO with Core i3 models doesn't make sense. If you're a gamer beware of this: ASUS claims a dual x8 lane PCIe configuration is only possible with Core i5 7xx or Core i7 8xx CPU, and not with a Core i5 6xx processor. hexus.net advises a micro-ATX H55-based board over a H57, the few extra features, if you leave out SATA3 and USB3, you'll get aren't worth paying the premium for.

Overclocking: CPU was OCed @3.85GHz (+10.9%) with a BCLK of 160.7MHz, QPI was 7.71GHz (+20.1%). hexus.net encountered issues with the BIOS profiles: neither manual CPU ratios or manual DRAM timings were restored correctly.

Bechmarks: SiSoft Sandra, ScienceMark 2.0, HEXUS.PiFast, StaxRip X.264, CINEBENCH R10, POV-Ray, wPrime, HDTach, Far Cry 2, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Enemy Territory: Quake Wars.
